The Amazon speaks: its voice can be heard in the depths of art. In March, La Casa Encendida opened the door to this mystical world in an exhibition where art, ecology and ancestral knowledge are woven into a single story.

From 4 to 16 March, the cultural space La Casa Encendida invites you to the exhibition «Wamatisé: ideas of amasofuturism», which will form part of the ARCOmadrid 2025 programme.
The project «Oro tapado» by artist Bárbara Santos, created with curators Maria Wills and Denilson Baniva, delves into the world of the Amazon: its hidden sounds, its voices and its ancestral knowledge.
Santos, who has been working in the region for more than 20 years, proposes seeing the Amazon as an electric river where art, ecology and spiritual practices intertwine as a whole. It is not merely an exhibition, but an experience of reconnecting with nature, its rhythms and mysteries.
