About this event
Artist Mar Solís invites viewers to contemplate their place in the universe in a different way. Her large-scale installation “Origin” will take place at CentroCentro from 27 February to 15 June. The artist combines sculptures and drawings to explore opposites: symmetry and chaos, light and darkness, gravity and expansion.
The exhibition consists of three parts: dissymmetry, gravity and energy, and is dotted with curved lines that symbolise the perpetual movement of matter. Solís creates a sense of the fragility of reality, making the viewer feel they are in the space between the “before” and “after” of the big bang, at the intersection of multiple realities.
Exploring the relationship between physics and art, Mar Solis proposes not only contemplating the universe, but experiencing its infinity.
