Museo del Traje presents an original ruffled flamenco dress.

Until 27 October, Museo del Traje is exhibiting an original dress created by Beatriz Peñalver. This unique piece is inspired by Andalusian traditional festivities, pilgrimages and flamenco tablaos.
The exhibition presents the culmination of the project, a dress that has become a collection of 300 testimonies including personal and emotional stories of people. These dresses have come to symbolise traditional popular festivities, pilgrimages and flamenco tablaos.
Beatriz Peñalver has developed a physical representation of intangible heritage. Her work gathers stories that take place within the community, and the flamenco dress has become an icon. The exhibition is complemented by dance performances.
