At Museo Reina Sofía, Oliver Laxe's new work turns cinema into an immersive installation, where rave music and the director's personal search merge into a unique artistic experience.

Until 20 April, Museo Reina Sofía hosts Oliver Laxe's new work, which includes his latest film, Sirat, awarded the jury prize at the 2025 Cannes Festival. The film takes place at a rave and explores collective creation, combining the director's personal search, mysticism and the study of non-traditional cultures.
The screening of Sirat in installation format turns the screen into a living space, where the viewer experiences the work physically and emotionally, and not only as a film.
In addition to the new work, the exhibition includes Laxe's earlier films, both artistic and experimental, which show his unique approach to cinema: the intertwined nature of reality and fiction, and the exploration of human and social contexts through a poetic visual language.
