The Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales opens an exhibition devoted to Ángel Cabrera, one of the most important mammalogists of the 20th century. Visitors will be able to see fossils, mammal and bird specimens, as well as illustrations and archival documents that reveal his scientific legacy.
The exhibition highlights Cabrera’s multidisciplinary approach: research into living and fossil mammals, publications and scientific outreach, as well as his concern for nature conservation. Throughout his career, he described more than 200 new genera and species, leaving a profound mark on the study of biodiversity and natural history.
