An exhibition has opened in Madrid in which past and present meet face to face to play their most honest role together.

Until 13 July, Madrid is hosting an unusual cultural event, «Tragicomedia», the eighth edition of the «Mutaciones» programme curated by Rafael Barberá Cortella within the walls of the Casa Museo Lope de Vega.
A contemporary artistic intervention comes to life in the museum, reimagining the space itself and its collections. The project is tailor-made for this place in order, in the curator’s words, to «exist only in the here and now».
The exhibition explores the boundaries between fiction and reality, the stage and everyday life, inviting us to consider whether tragicomedy is the most honest way of speaking about the present.
