Exhibition «Madrid, chica Almodóvar»

Madrid already seems intertwined with Almodóvar. Every corner of the city evokes the memory of a film scene: the hive-like homes of What Have I Done to Deserve This? or the now-vanished Molino Rojo de Lavapiés nightclub, on Calle del Tribulete.

The exhibition will present an analysis of the relationship between cinema and the city. We will discover places that no longer exist but were immortalised by the director in his films. More than 200 photographs portray the capital’s most iconic scenes and locations.

In «Madrid, chica Almodóvar», the city will once again become a character in one of Almodóvar’s films, but in the form of an exhibition held in Room 1 of Centro Cultural Conde Duque. In addition, this very venue appears in one of the most iconic scenes in the film Law of Desire.
