Exhibition «Madrid Art Déco, 1925: The Style of a New Era»

In a city that often looks towards the future, there are unique occasions to look back in wonder. «Madrid Art Déco, 1925: The Style of a New Era» is an invitation to rediscover the capital’s modern soul from an unexpected angle. Until 2 November 2025, the South Hall of Centro Conde Duque hosts a free exhibition that explores how the Art Déco style quietly transformed Madrid’s identity a hundred years ago.

Far from the clichés of the past, this exhibition proposes a visual and emotional journey through a Madrid that embraced the new: straight lines, geometric motifs, shiny materials and an aesthetic that seemed to have arrived from the future. The city breathed change, and that air was captured in façades, signs, halls, cafés, magazines and everyday objects.

With more than fifty pieces selected from public and private collections, the exhibition shows not only objects, but also aesthetic decisions that defined an era. It is not a distant tribute, but a living connection with a stage of urban, cultural and visual transformation that still pulses beneath the modern asphalt.
