“Mothers. Drivers of the Fight Against Hunger” Exhibition

An exhibition focused on people living their everyday lives in very difficult conditions opens in Madrid. The project was produced by the organisation “Acción contra el Hambre” and includes more than thirty photographs from different countries.

The exhibition is built around an account of thirty years of humanitarian work through faces and specific situations. Much of the imagery is by photographer Gonzalo Höhr, who has spent many years capturing this reality.

The route is organised by themes that make it easy to follow different living conditions: from tension and instability to the search for stability in everyday actions. It presents scenes connected with healthcare, attempts to secure an income, and decisions on which tomorrow depends.
