Exhibition ‘The Same Places: Jorge Yeregui’

From 4 June to 6 September, as part of PHotoESPAÑA 2026, Jorge Yeregui’s exhibition ‘The Same Places’ will be presented. The project addresses how the contemporary world reshapes the space around it, from cities to natural landscapes.

Jorge Yeregui (Santander, 1975) uses the visual essay as a research method. At the centre of his practice is not simply the image, but the analysis of how and why places change, who influences them and what traces remain. The artist combines local observations with broader global processes, drawing on field research and documentary material.

The exhibition brings together four series of works. They examine the consequences of extractive industry, the housing-market crisis, different models of urban growth and the relationship between human beings and the natural environment.
