Exhibition “Los 100 metros libres. Vida y milagros de la Escuela de Cine”
The exhibition will tell the story of the film school where masterpieces were born and the foundations were laid for the masters who changed the history of world cinema.
About this event
This exhibition, curated by Asier Aranzubia, pays tribute to the place that gave rise to the great masters of Spanish cinema in the second half of the 20th century. Luis García Berlanga, Carlos Saura, Pilar Miró, Jaime Chavarri and others whose names have become legends.
At the heart of the exhibition is the film school’s film and documentary archive, one of the most comprehensive collections in Spanish film archives. For decades, it has researched, preserved and digitised 1,750 audiovisual works and valuable documentation. This exhibition recalls both the past and the greatness of Spanish art.
