“Lidó Rico. L’anima non finita” exhibition

From 8 to 31 May, Sala Alcalá 31 will host the exhibition L’anima non finita, devoted to the work of Lido Rico. More than 50 works are gathered in a single space, covering the artist’s career from his early projects of the 1980s to his major contemporary forms.

The exhibition is structured as a transition between the different stages of his creative work, where the main material is the human body and everything related to memory and inner experience. Sculptures, installations and casts trace a journey in which the physical surface gradually becomes a medium for expressing emotions and states.

Some of the rooms are devoted to identity and personal history, others to a more intimate gaze related to self-perception. Many works use plaster and the immersion method, making it possible literally to “print” the body as an imprint.

A specific section of the project is dedicated to accessibility issues. Fundación Lidó Rico has adapted the exhibition for visitors with different needs, including people with visual disabilities and specific cognitive characteristics, as well as children, so that interaction with the works is as direct and comprehensible as possible.
