Drawing-room and bedroom album. Installation by David Trullo

As part of the PHotoESPAÑA 2024 festival, Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas will host an exhibition celebrating the uniqueness of the world of photography.

The installation consists of works by David Trullo that show everything breathed by society in the 1920s and 1930s. The Olvidados collection will present the result of opening a time capsule and mapping the context of the twentieth century. The monopoly on quality photographs is over: cameras become simpler and are put within everyone’s reach.

The installation invites every visitor to reconsider the way we interpret the photographic archive: what we keep and for what purpose, how we use it or do not use it. In addition, here we will see the course of European design history and focus on the main issues that concerned the sector’s first professionals.
