Explore the connection between pharmacological treatments and theatrical works in a new temporary exhibition.

Until 29 September, Madrid residents have the opportunity to see and explore the connection between pharmacology and literature during the Golden Age. The exhibition takes place at the Casa Museo Lope de Vega and seeks to create a dialogue between Lope de Vega himself and the apothecary Gerónimo de la Fuente Pierola. It is devoted to medical and apothecary treatments and their influence on Lope's theatrical works. Two seemingly different disciplines whose connection is surprisingly strong.
The exhibition is curated by Antonio González Bueno and Alejandra Gómez Martín. They have developed a special itinerary that recreates the spaces and tools of both professions. Objects, plants and apothecary implements can be seen, as well as books and unusual substances from the Museo de la Farmacia Española and the Biblioteca Nacional de España.
