Exhibition «José Luis Alonso Mañes. A Life for Theatre»

Complejo El Águila hosts until 25 May the exhibition «José Luis Alonso Mañes. A Life for Theatre», dedicated to the outstanding director who changed the twentieth-century stage. Curated by Luciano García Lorenzo, the exhibition reveals not only his professional career but also his personal passion for theatre.

Alonso Máñez was a master who introduced the public to great international playwrights and reinterpreted national classics. The exhibition will offer a look into the great director's world through his costumes, set designs, personal letters and archival materials, reflecting his particular vision of theatre, which had fascinated him since childhood.
