The exhibition Jaume Plensa. Inner Matter has opened in Madrid, presenting 15 outstanding works by one of the most important contemporary artists. The exhibition is being held at Espacio Fundación Telefónica and can be visited until 4 May 2025. Admission is free.
Jaume Plensa is a cosmopolitan artist and master of public sculpture whose work has adorned cities such as New York, Toronto, Taipei, Saint Petersburg and other metropolises. In Madrid, his iconic work Julia, a gigantic female head, is located in Plaza de Colón.
The exhibition spans more than thirty years of creativity, from the abstract and conceptual works of the 1990s to the sensual and figurative works of recent years. Through his work, Plensa explores human nature and reflects on connections, emotions and communication.
