Exhibition ‘Jano. Half a century of posters and illustration’

A new free exhibition will show the work of the most important illustrators in the world of Spanish film posters. It will include posters by the famous illustrator Jano: Bienvenido, Mr. Marshall, Mogambo and Atraco a las 3. The legacy of Madrid artist Francisco Fernández-Zarza Pérez will also be exhibited, from caricatures to film posters.

The exhibition reflects the evolution of the society of the period and the development of relationships in the political and social spheres. Many of these works were held at the Biblioteca Regional de Madrid and are now shown in the exhibition.

In addition, the programme will include an introductory design workshop led by Ana Linde de Soto and the talks ‘Illustrators and illustration yesterday and today’, in collaboration with Inmaculada Corcho and Fernando Vicente.
