Exhibition «Helbig Archive: 96 - 26»

Until 27 September, Museo del Traje is hosting on its first floor the exhibition «Helbig Archive: 96–26», a retrospective of the thirty-year career of designer Teresa Helbig. The exhibition offers an intimate journey through the craftsmanship, femininity and personal style that have marked her career.

The rooms bring together emblematic dresses from different eras, examples of artisanal techniques, fashion videos, archive photographs and portraits of women who have influenced the designer’s career. A single feature can be seen in every piece: precision and attention to detail, which allow handcrafted work to highlight the individuality of the wearer, beyond their personal preferences.

The exhibition is complemented by videos on the process of creating the collections and interviews with Helbig herself. Through them, visitors can learn about her working method, her first steps in the profession and those everyday, almost imperceptible details that have helped define her style over three decades.
