Until 20 April, the Matadero Madrid venue is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the work of designer Héctor Serrano, entitled «El viaje entremedias. 25 years connecting». The exhibition is curated by Tachi Mora and supported by DIMAD.
The exhibition traces Serrano’s 25-year career, for which he was recently recognised with the 2024 Premio Nacional de Diseño. Through carefully selected pieces, visitors will discover how his creations combine functionality, emotion and a dose of surprise that redefines the traditional concept of design.
Among the works presented, Raíces stands out, a charitable project in which the author transforms natural remains into vases of symbolic value, in tribute to areas hit by the La Dana storm. The proposal shows not only the versatility of design, but also its ability to generate social and emotional impact from the material.
