Exhibition «Goya. The Awakening of Consciousness»

Goya created an enormous number of works throughout his life. He experimented with different techniques: oils, frescoes and graphic works. Today we can appreciate through them how his concepts and ways of painting changed. The exhibition will show the differences between his early works and how his talent evolved throughout his life. It is interesting to see how the artist decided to move away from academic conventions and changed his attitude towards painting. It will truly surprise you, as it seems as though the works had been painted by different artists.

A discovery for visitors will be the copper plates the artist created and used to print the engravings; they have never been exhibited before.
