Exhibition “Flora y fauna por manos mexicanas”

Fundación Casa de México en España opens its doors to “Flora y fauna por manos mexicanas”, an exhibition that highlights the connection between nature and popular art. Through 52 pieces created using traditional techniques, the exhibition reveals how craftswomen from different regions of Mexico interpret their natural surroundings and bring them to life in their works. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a universe of colours, textures and forms that evoke Mexican biodiversity. From the delicacy of copal wood carvings to the richness of ceramics and embroidery, each piece reflects centuries of craft knowledge. The Olinalá lacquers, mystical nahuales and vibrant Tenango textiles stand out, all with deep cultural symbolism. For those who wish to learn more about the creative process and the meaning of these pieces, free guided tours are offered every Wednesday.
