Rosario de Velasco exhibition

Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza hosts an exhibition devoted to Spanish artist Rosario de Velasco. It is the quintessence of her work and brings together some of her most outstanding pieces.

The exhibition gathers thirty paintings from the 1920s to the 1940s. The paintings include famous works such as «Adán y Eva» and «La masacre de los inocentes». But there will also be unique paintings that had remained with the family or in private collections. Most of the pieces remained unknown until they were discovered in recent years. The exhibition will have a special section exploring the artist’s work as a graphic illustrator. Its main aim is to rediscover the work of one of the greatest artists in Spanish art.
