Exhibition «Zhivago Station. 60 Years of an Epic Shoot»

Until October, the Museo del Ferrocarril reveals the secrets of an international blockbuster filmed at Delicias station. A station turned into a film set, a classic of world cinema and a story told again from its Madrid origins. The Museo del Ferrocarril, in the Arganzuela district, hosts an unprecedented exhibition devoted to Doctor Zhivago, marking 60 years since the film was partly shot in this iconic location.

The exhibition brings together a valuable selection of photographs taken during filming, some never published, alongside old press cuttings, original promotional material and documents revealing the involvement of writer Miguel Delibes, who worked as linguistic supervisor for the Spanish version of the dialogue. In addition, the route includes a documentary featuring expert voices that reconstruct the story behind the scenes, offering a new perspective on how a Madrid station was transformed into a Soviet setting for a Hollywood production.

The exhibition can be visited with a general admission ticket for 7 euros or a reduced ticket for 4 euros, during the museum’s usual opening hours. An unrepeatable opportunity to discover how Madrid became, for a time, Pasternak’s Russia.
