Exhibition «Escaparates de Madrid: an artistic journey through century-old shops»
An exhibition at Centro Cultural Clara del Rey will tell the story of Madrid through caricatures of the façades of its oldest shops. Created over four years, these works immortalise the spirit of the city and its historic atmosphere.
About this event
Until 1 March, Centro Cultural Clara del Rey is hosting a unique exhibition entitled «Escaparates de Madrid: an artistic journey through century-old shops», dedicated to caricatures of old businesses in Madrid. The 62 works created by caricaturists depict the façades of historic establishments such as the Sobrino de Botín restaurant and La Ducesita pastry shop. These paintings, made by artists on site over four years, preserve the memory of old businesses, many of which have existed since the 17th century.
