«Dislocación» exhibition

Until 31 May, the Espacio Cultural Serrería Belga hosts the new work by Madrid artist SpY in its central atrium: the kinetic sculpture Dislocación. Five metres of steel and 16 rotating slats generate visual collisions that change with every glance, transforming the space into a play of shapes and movements.

In Dislocación, movement and time become the sculpture’s materials. Constant rotation creates illusions and alters the perception of depth, inviting the viewer to seek new angles and discover different configurations of the work. The shape of the sculpture is not fixed, but emerges at the moment of interaction with the space and people.

SpY continues his experiments with kinetic sculpture, previously presented in the world’s leading capitals, and now invites the public at Serrería Belga to explore the intersection of movement, time and visual perception.
