«From Toys to the Sky» exhibition

Until 9 March, the Conde Duque Cultural Centre is hosting the unique exhibition «From Toys to the Sky», dedicated to the toys that shaped childhood from 1860 to 1985.

Visitors will be able to see unusual toys, such as dolls and board games, as well as dioramas and transport models. The objects on display include the first urban bus, introduced in Barcelona by the British Steven company in 1922, the famous mastodon locomotives and a reproduction of the Barcelona–Mataró railway of 1848. Other items of special interest include models of the first Spanish Brow Boveri electric locomotives, steam ocean liners, aeroplanes and aerial vehicles such as the Graf Zeppelin airship.

The exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past and offers a view of toys as reflections of the technology, culture and fantasies of their time.
