Exhibition «Cruz Novillo»
Geometry, colour, sound and nearly six decades of work come together in «Cruz Novillo», CentroCentro’s new exhibition devoted to one of the most distinctive artists in contemporary Spanish creation.

CentroCentro will bring together nearly six decades of Cruz Novillo’s career in Madrid in an exhibition that focuses on his artistic side and on a body of research marked by geometry, colour, sound and time.
«Cruz Novillo» will open on 7 October and bring together works made between 1965 and 2025. The exhibition proposes a non-linear journey through the artist’s different cycles, from his early explorations of geometric forms and colour to his most recent works.
Drawing occupies a central place in the exhibition, alongside paintings, collages and sculptures made of wood, stone and bronze. His «Diafragmas» will also be present, a series in which Cruz Novillo relates colour to sound and explores the possibilities of mathematical combinations.
The exhibition will also recover some of his earliest works, including the «Estructuras manipulables», conceived so that visitors can alter their elements and create different compositions. Alongside them, pieces connected to his research into image will be shown, including works inspired by press photographs, cinema and great masters of art history.
