Exhibition «Concha García. The Rest of the Days»

Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas surprises visitors with another exhibition by artist Concha García. In her singular works, she explores memory, transforms real objects into ceramic pieces and thus creates a unique connection between the past and the present.

The exhibition presents the artist's most recent works, as well as important pieces of different sizes from her career: the enormous Vacío and Almario and the small Soplo. Yet they all share an emotional intensity. Although the artist's work is based on ceramics, she also uses sculpture, installation, video and drawing to maximise its potential. And together they create a unique journey through memory.

The series of ceramics is made up of different sets that are grouped into batches. They are grouped in an unsuccessful attempt to archive and organise them. It is a poetic gesture from which the exhibition itself is constructed.
