Exhibition «Circuitos 2026»
Ten young artists invite us to explore their creative journals and discover how their works are born from sketches, doubts, and unexpected discoveries.
About this event
Before reaching an exhibition, a work can go through numerous revisions, doubts, and attempts to start over. This often invisible work is the focus of the exhibition «Bitácoras. El valor de lo invisible», which will be on view from 16 September to 8 November at the Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid.
The exhibition will bring together projects by the ten winners of the Circuitos de Artes Plásticas competition, aimed at artists under 35 living in the region. Through their works, visitors can discover how observations become ideas and how experimentation helps to find the right form.
The idea of the creative journal connects the different approaches of the participants. Drawings, notes, photographs, found materials, and reflections allow us to follow each artist’s journey. In this process, there is room for mistakes, intuition, and discovery. The exhibition invites us to pause over what usually remains out of public view: revised decisions, open questions, and the details where everything began.
The exhibition encourages us to value not only the result, but also the process of reflection that makes it possible. And, in passing, it reminds us that changing your mind can also be productive.
