Steel, stone and poetry. The great Eduardo Chillida exhibition has opened its doors in Alcobendas, where you can immerse yourself in the world of one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century and see how his work combines matter and philosophy.
About this event
“Chillida. Poetry is construction” is an exhibition dedicated to the great Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida. Until 4 May, 115 works by the master can be seen, including sculptures, drawings and engravings on loan from important collections and from the Museo Chillida Leku.
Chillida, whose monumental works adorn emblematic places such as the Cresta del Viento de San Sebastián, redefined sculpture by experimenting with iron and alabaster. The exhibition explores his work from a philosophical perspective, revealing the profound relationship between form and meaning, art and architecture.
