Marc Chagall is the embodiment of the madness of the 20th century. After surviving two world wars and exile, the artist reflected it all on his canvases. He travelled the world through the upheavals of his century, like the heroes of his paintings.
The exhibition “Chagall. A Cry for Freedom” will present a complete view of the artist’s work in the context of historical events. The artist faced them head on, and now you can come face to face with the heroes of his paintings. The exhibition is the first complete reading of his work in the light of his unconditional idealism, his unwavering faith in the world and his socio-political commitment.
