Exhibition «Celebrating Marilyn 1926/2026»

The exhibition «Celebrating Marilyn 1926/2026» has opened in Madrid, dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Hollywood's most famous blonde. Admission is free, and the exhibition is impressive in its scale: more than a hundred photographs, posters, illustrations and works of contemporary art.

Visitors will be able to follow Marilyn's journey from Norma Jeane Mortenson to becoming an iconic star of the 20th century. The exhibition presents works by the photographers who created her image, from André de Dienes and Richard Avedon to Philip Halsman. These photographs show not only glamour, but also intimate moments from her life, revealing the real woman behind the myth.

Contemporary interpretations of her image have a special place: works by Banksy, David LaChapelle, Ron English and other artists show how Marilyn has continued to inspire the worlds of art and pop culture over seven decades. Posters, illustrations and surprising artistic reinterpretations create the feeling that the legend comes to life before the viewers' eyes.
