An impressive Christmas nativity scene has opened in Madrid, transporting visitors to the atmosphere of biblical Bethlehem

In the spacious hall of the Department of Works and Urban Facilities, a 6 m² miniature world unfolds: a small river with real water runs here, living and artificial plants grow, and among them the narrow streets of ancient Bethlehem take shape.
The protagonists are 35-centimetre-tall figures, handmade by the renowned master Jesús Mayo Lebrija. His collection of exclusive models brings traditional Christmas scenes to life: the procession of the Three Kings, the Annunciation to the shepherds, everyday scenes from the bustling city and, of course, the birth of Jesus.
