Anniversary of the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales

The Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales celebrates its 253rd birthday this Sunday with a science outreach programme. A great programme awaits us, including scientific demonstrations and workshops that will make every child fall in love with nature. And most importantly, admission to the museum will be free that day.

Sunday morning will begin with demonstrations inside and outside the museum. Educators will tell visitors all the secrets of research and the collections in a playful way, with the help of crafts and scientific experiments. Each visitor will be able to carry out their own fossil excavations, get to know the museum’s objects through micro-visits and even take home a memento of their visit. Everyone attending this day will be able to benefit from free admission, visit the museum’s permanent collection and enjoy the temporary exhibitions.
