The exhibition ‘Alma de cántaro’ invites all pottery enthusiasts to take a journey through the Siglo de Oro, when pottery was not only an art but also an integral part of everyday life.
Until 21 September, at Museo Casa Natal de Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares, visitors can see unique pieces free of charge: ceramics and photographs that reflect the craft described by Cervantes himself in his works. The exhibition reveals the history of pottery and the trades of the period, with works by authors such as Nicolás Muller and Ramón Mazats, and also focuses on occupations such as street sweepers and makers of earthenware jugs.
