30th anniversary of «The Lion King»

Until 27 November, at Serrería Belga you can see the original sketches, the main scenes from the film, the characters, the soundtrack and the haute couture collection inspired by «The Lion King».

«Hakuna Matata» has become an anthem for several generations. And, for 30 years, many problems have been solved with this way of life. To celebrate it, an exhibition has been organised in the capital.

At Serrería Belga it will be possible to see the protagonists and the objects displayed in the films of the saga since its release in 1994. Visitors will be able to observe original sketches and models of the characters and of the African savannah setting in which they live. References to the soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer, winner of two Oscars, can also be found. The exhibition will even include costume elements from the Broadway and Madrid productions of the legendary musical. All visitors will discover how the iconic cartoon inspired the world of fashion. An impressive collection by the French firm Balmain, inspired by the 30th anniversary of The Lion King and designed by Olivier Rousteing and other artists, will be displayed.

This exhibition has been created to pay tribute to everyone who created the legendary saga: the hundreds of artists and directors who took part in every stage of the film's research, planning and production.
