A decade after its major comprehensive refurbishment (2014–2024), the Museo Arqueológico Nacional is revealed through the lens of photographer José Manuel Ballester. His project captures a series of ten images highlighting both public and internal areas of the museum, including permanent-exhibition collections, less explored corners of the historic building, educational activities, and conservation and research work.
The large-format, high-quality photographs offer an in-depth look at the museum's rich collection, its renovated facilities and its vibrant daily activity. The project, made up of ten high-quality, large-format photographs, will transform the museum's outdoor space, extending from its emblematic fence on Serrano, Villanueva and Armada Española streets to the historic garden, the main entrance and the spacious north and south courtyards of the MAN.
