Dialogic visits to Matadero Madrid

The Legazpi building was originally a municipal slaughterhouse designed at the beginning of the 20th century by architect Luis Bellido. It ceased operating in 1995 and, 20 years later, was given a cultural use. This began a series of architectural works to adapt the building for cultural events.

Today, Matadero Madrid has a second life, focused on being a meeting place and a space for creativity and thought. It hosts an extensive programme of exhibitions, theatre performances, festivals and many other cultural events.

The organisation invites everyone to its routes, where it tells its history through a series of guided visits in which one of Madrid's most iconic projects can be explored from different perspectives: from the building's construction as a municipal slaughterhouse to its current use.
