«Three Journeys to Wonderland» film season

On Sundays 1, 15 and 22 February, audiences will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of «Alice in Wonderland». As part of the «Cineteca for Families» programme, three completely different versions of the tale will be screened: Disney’s classic animation, Jan Švankmajer’s surreal and tactile work, and Tim Burton’s dark and fantastical interpretation.

Each film creates its own world: from a bright, magical animated space to a strange, unsettling and almost tangible dream, and finally a contemporary fantasy universe with a Gothic atmosphere. These films show how a story can be transformed through the director’s gaze and how cinema influences our perception of reality, fantasy and freedom.
