The Gachas Train returns to Madrid to show us the traditions of La Mancha and the land of the most famous hidalgo.
During the journey, we will recall a tradition dating back to Phoenician times. Gachas is one of the oldest dishes in the world. In Castilla-La Mancha, it is prepared following a special recipe based on almond flour and local cured meats.
In honour of this La Mancha recipe, on 16 November a special Gachas train will depart from the capital for Alcázar de San Juan, offering all passengers a unique gastronomic journey through the Tagus plain and the fields of La Mancha that inspired Cervantes.
