Free children’s workshops at Museo Picasso

July has delighted the capital’s youngest residents: there are free children’s masterclasses at Museo Picasso de Madrid, bringing them closer to the artist. And all this will take place in one of the most beautiful towns in the region.

Pablo Picasso’s personality is full of secrets still to be unravelled. But at the events, visitors can come closer to understanding the genius: learn the importance of colour in his work and see the bonds of friendship with his barber, Eugenio Arias. Children will learn to use different printing techniques, make their own collage and discover Picasso’s family relationships. At the workshop, they will be able to make cut-outs for a costume based on a musical piece that inspired the artist to enter the world of theatre. And one of the most interesting things will be discovering the kinds of animals the artist portrayed on his canvases. Inspired by this, there will be a zoo here at Laberinto de Picasso.
