Musical “Wicked”

Madrid is becoming a world stage for musical theatre. If “The Lion King”, “Tina”, “Mamma Mia!”, “Les Misérables” and “The Phantom of the Opera” have already appeared on the stages of the capital, now it is Wicked’s turn.

The untold story of the witches of Oz awaits us, a story that Broadway audiences already know by heart. We will travel to the magical land of Oz long before Dorothy arrived there. It will be the story of young women who will in the future become Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, a girl with emerald-green skin, passionate and very talented, but misunderstood and rejected by society, and Glinda, the future Good Witch of the North, a pretty, ambitious and very popular girl. Despite the hostility separating them, a strong friendship will arise between them on this occasion. This moving story invites us to reflect on identity, acceptance and the struggle for justice.
