On 4 and 5 August, Instituto San Isidro will host Querida Agatha Christie, one of the theatre offerings at the Veranos de la Villa festival. The play invites audiences to discover one of the most difficult moments in the famous British writer’s life through a story that intertwines real events and fiction.
The action takes place in 1927, at Hotel Taoro in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife). After her mother’s death and the breakdown of her marriage, Agatha Christie is going through a deep personal crisis. The unexpected appearance of a mysterious stranger will change the course of the night and give way to a story full of suspense and uncertainty.
The play’s protagonists are Carmen Morales and Juan Meseguer. The production combines psychological drama and thriller elements to offer a different look at the life of one of the most influential authors of the 20th century.
