Among the hills of Toledo lies Puy du Fou España, a historical park born from a French project created more than forty years ago. Here, the past is not preserved behind display cases but unfolds in living outdoor scenes.
Medieval quarters, craft workshops and large performance spaces share a 30-hectare site. Daytime shows cover different eras and figures in Spanish history, from El Cid to Columbus, bringing together hundreds of actors, riders and performers
As night falls, attention turns to the great night-time show “El Sueño de Toledo”. For seventy minutes, audiences travel through one thousand five hundred years, watching the country and its destiny change. Light, water, music and movement create a living historical canvas in which events are perceived almost physically.
