Teatro Lara will host «Perfect Ass», a grotesque performance that addresses some of the most controversial issues in contemporary feminism and does not fear being provocative. Four scenes, four stories and, in each of them, female experience is revealed from a new and unexpected perspective.
The audience follows a path from a university classroom to a strip club, then enters a family shop and finally the sphere of a couple’s relationship. Everywhere, the same motif is repeated: the protagonists live under the attentive gaze of a society that judges them and consumes their image, while they try to discover their own desires and limits.
The play revolves around the theme of choice and the endless pact with the world that women are forced to face every day. The four stories intertwine to form a unique, ironic portrait, at times taken to the extreme of the grotesque: a portrait of the different forms female freedom can take according to circumstances.
