Cirque du Soleil show “OVO”

From 19 March, Movistar Arena will host one of Cirque du Soleil’s most poetic shows: OVO, inspired by the astonishing world of insects.

A whole ecosystem comes to life on stage: beetles, ants and butterflies fly, jump and dance, showing how miniature life teems. At the centre of the story is a clumsy yet moving beetle who falls in love with a beautiful ladybird, and around him unfolds a spectacle of movement, light and music.

The staging is by Deborah Colker and is accompanied by original music by Berna Ceppas, inspired by the rhythms of Brazil. The title itself, “Ovo”—“egg” in Portuguese—symbolises birth, movement and the eternal cycle of life.
