Show «Más allá de esta vida»

Until 16 November, at the Sala Jardiel Poncela del Centro Cultural Fernán Gómez, a play by Débora Izaguirre dedicated to Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer and the Romantic spirit of his work is being performed. The leading roles are played by Álvaro Alvarado, Fran Pineda and Zuria Gómez.

The staging combines theatre, poetry and music, weaving together the legends «Ojos verdes» and «El monte de las ánimas» with extracts from Bécquer's poems and letters. The story focuses on the poet's final days, revealing his love, childhood wounds and particular view of the world.

According to Izaguirre, the play is «a musical tale about love and fear». Live violin music creates a magical atmosphere, immersing the audience in the sensual world of Romanticism.
