«Midsummer Fest» show
What would happen if Shakespeare’s characters ended up at a music festival? That is the premise of Midsummer Fest, the new comedy arriving in Madrid this summer.

From 9 July to 30 August, Rooftop Lírico, the open-air performance space on the roof of Teatro Calderón, will host Midsummer Fest. The show offers a contemporary reinterpretation of «A Midsummer Night’s Dream», moving William Shakespeare’s classic into the atmosphere of a music festival.
The story unfolds in a magical forest that has lost its balance. To reconcile the world of humans with that of fantastical creatures, Puck organises a great festival, but the guests’ romantic conflicts soon set off a succession of misunderstandings, unexpected encounters and comic situations.
The proposal is written and directed by Talía del Val. The staging combines humour, music, choreography and interaction with the audience, offering a contemporary reinterpretation of one of William Shakespeare’s great classics.
