«Los Nuestros» is a story about the family as collective memory, helping to redefine belonging and find one’s own path. Lucía Carballal once again surprises as playwright and director, creating an emotional work with Miki Esparbe and Manuela Paso.

The plot begins with Dinora’s death and the gathering of her loved ones for a shivah, a period of Jewish mourning in which family members withdraw for seven days to experience the loss together. But those days become a test: the past spirals out of control, and their shared pain calls into question the bond that unites them.

According to Carballal, today there is an emphasis on individuality, while collective identity is forgotten. The play raises questions about memory, community and the traditions that unite or divide us.
