Until 20 April, La Nave 10 Matadero will bring to life the emblematic work by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, one of the most innovative German playwrights.
The action revolves around Petra von Kant, a successful fashion designer who lives under the same roof as her obedient assistant Marlene. Everything changes when she meets Karin, an ambitious young woman, and passion takes hold of her. Their romance becomes a complex game of domination, in which love and power intertwine in a painful knot.
Fassbinder uses this story to explore not only personal relationships, but also the dynamics of oppression in a capitalist society. This adaptation combines Brechtian theatre with the aesthetics of Hollywood melodrama to create a powerful show enhanced by modern visual effects.
